A Strategic Partnership with UNICEF Philippines

WeTrade Announces A Strategic Partnership with UNICEF to Support Children in the Philippines

Child Poverty in the Philippines

According to UNICEF Philippines, more than 13 million Filipino children are living in poverty, struggling to meet their basic needs. That is a staggering one-third of the child population in the Philippines.

Statistically, twenty-seven out of 1,000 Filipino children do not get past their fifth birthday. These children lack access to proper nutrition, healthcare and education which in turn, impacts their development and future. This is where UNICEF Philippines steps in, working tirelessly to protect these children’s rights and provide them with a better future.

How Can WeTrade Be Of Help?

Understanding this urgent need for support, WeTrade is honoured to announce that we are supporting UNICEF Philippines initiatives to create a positive and lasting change for Filipino children nationwide.

At WeTrade, we believe in doing more than just making trades. It is about making a difference in the communities we serve. To get more help and to support this cause, we organised a fundraising campaign “Trade To Make A Change”, starting from 10 October 2024 to 1 December 2024. This initiative is a medium to helping UNICEF Philippines to provide more life-saving support to children in need.

As a token of gratitude for joining WeTrade to support the under-privileged children in the Philippines, the first 1,000 contributors who trade at least 100 lots will receive a set of limited edition Christmas cards, designed by Manuel “Manny” Baldemor, symbolising their participation in this mission for goodwill. You may also support this cause by redeeming the Christmas cards from our Rewards Mall using your Reward Points.

"Baldemor is a Filipino folk artist from Paete, Laguna, who is known for his paintings, wood prints, and wood carvings, often featuring simplified geometric forms and folk-art characters. His artwork frequently depicts scenes of his hometown, its people, daily activities, and traditions. He has participated in both national and international art exhibitions and has received numerous awards. Since the 1990s, his work has been featured on UNICEF Christmas Cards, with his art reproduced and sold globally."

These Christmas cards are no ordinary cards. They represent the hope you’re giving to those who need it most. In the spirit of giving, your participation in this campaign would mean the world to the vulnerable children of the Philippines. Join us in giving and turn every lot into an opportunity for those in need.

At WeTrade, your trades don’t just get you profits, they create hope.
