Every day, approximately 95 children lose their lives from malnutrition in the Philippines.
The statistics are alarming. UNICEF Philippines' 2023 reports reveal that 27 out of 1,000 Filipino children do not survive beyond their fifth birthday. Additionally, only 10% of Grade 5 students meet the minimum reading proficiency, less than half of the population has access to safe water, and only 63% have access to proper sanitation.
These vulnerable children lack access to proper nutrition, healthcare, and education, all of which are essential for their development and future. This is where UNICEF Philippines steps in, working tirelessly to protect these children’s rights and provide them with the care they need.

Nutrition: UNICEF creates a healthier environment for children by distributing care benefit packages to malnourished kids and educating parents on proper child nutrition and early childhood care.
Immunisation: UNICEF leads vaccination campaigns to protect children against preventable diseases while improving access to clean water and sanitation facilities, ensuring children not only survive but thrive.
Education: UNICEF advocates for quality, inclusive and relevant education for all children. Efforts include advocating for engaging educational content, well-trained teachers and essential school infrastructure.
Child Protection: UNICEF ensures every child grows in a safe space with ample basic needs. Their efforts focus on reducing all forms of violence against children, particularly those affected by domestic abuse, natural disasters and armed conflict.
How Can You Be Of Help?
As part of this campaign, the first 1,000 traders to trade at least 100 lots will receive an exclusive Christmas Card designed by renowned Filipino artist Manuel “Manny” Baldemor, symbolising your participation in this mission of goodwill.
Baldemor is an award-winning Filipino folk artist who creates vibrant works of art inspired by his hometown, its people, their daily activities, and traditions. His creative works have been reproduced and sold globally for nearly two decades.
Having philanthropically worked with UNICEF since 1990, this year’s picks for the cards feature four artworks from his vast collection. By donating through these cards, you not only get to own a piece of Baldemor’s iconic artwork, you are also supporting UNICEF’s lifesaving programmes.
